The Armor We Wear

The Armor We Wear
Leather darkened by time, tooled with a diamond grid, each cell holding a smaller carving — floral, scroll-like, almost devotional. The colors shift from deep brown to reddish-earth to a faint purple sheen where the light catches the grain. This is not an accessory. It is armor. The kind we wear not to keep the world out, but to remind ourselves of who we are underneath. The skin beneath is alive — veins visible, hair catching light — and the band sits against it like a story pressed into the body. Every detail in a portrait is a sentence. This one speaks of protection, adornment, and the quiet defiance of carrying beauty into the everyday.
