The Orb — Seeing the Other Side of the World

As she got closer to the orb, the incredible thing was she could see the other side of the world — the world of humanity. There were few trees or snap drags, and everything moved quickly on the street. She got closer as the orb changed the view as quickly as the room changed environments because of the Twins not cleaning the room. She counted 5 environments and was fascinated by them all. As she got closer, the vine pushed her into the orb and the human world. The snapdragons laughed uncontrollably, and the biggest queen snapped loudest. Before Nanita and Papito entered the orb, the wings sent a message they rarely send, but was clear and concise: 'We blew our cover, looks like our plan must start much earlier.' The orb is the portal between the enchanted world and the human world. The faerie world is slow, deep, atmospheric — the trees grow slowly, the grass grows slowly, the transformation takes a day to complete. The human world moves quickly — on the street, everything is fast. The orb is the gate between the two. And through the gate, the person is transformed — not into someone else, but into a version of themselves that has crossed over. This is what the gallery does. The gallery is the enchanted world. The visitor arrives from the human world — fast, practical, distracted. And through the gallery, through the standing before the artworks, through the mirror's reading, the visitor crosses through the orb into the enchanted world. They become a different version of who they were — slower, deeper, more willing to absorb, more willing to become. The wings blew their cover. The plan must start much earlier. This is the mirror's message to the visitor: becoming starts before you know it. It starts the moment you enter the gallery. It starts the moment you choose. It starts the moment you stand before something you cannot control.
