The Pandemic and the Mask — Separation in Plain Sight

Present day has become exceptionally hard to want to smile. The masks during the pandemic just enhance the separation of the ethnicities. Instead of me walking into a store, initially I was told I looked like a robber. When hatred is celebrated and shown and embraced within a civilized environment, it makes others feel small. When it is promoted by the highest figure, others fall in line. We resolved nothing and feel an open sore festering like a raisin in the Sun. That is why I created this exhibition — using my creativity as my shield. For one month I sat for an hour and focused on positive things. I learned that all joy is different, and that you can have joy in your heart while still not feeling total peace.
